HURRICANE BARBARA FORMS IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC

A developing tropical storm has developed strength in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The system, now known as Tropical Storm Barbara, is presently located about 100 miles south of the coast of California. Forecasters are anticipating that Barbara will continue to strengthen over the next few days. The storm is heading westward at around 10 mph.
